FAQs

  • Yes. Missouri is a limited Direct Access state for physical therapy, where patients need a referral from a doctor for treatment, not evaluations. Patients are allowed to seek evaluation from a licensed physical therapist without a prescription or referral from a physician. However, if you plan on seeking reimbursement from insurance, your insurance provider may require a physician’s referral. You may self-refer, and when the evaluation is completed, your therapist will send a Letter of Medical Necessity to your physician; once signed, this acts as a prescription for physical therapy and has to be completed within 7 days of the initial evaluation.

  • Currently the only plans that are in network are Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Cash-based physical therapy means that our clinic operates outside of the traditional insurance model, allowing us to provide truly individualized care. We do not bill insurance directly; instead, patients pay for each visit at the time of service. (Many patients may still be eligible for insurance reimbursement by submitting a superbill to their provider.)

By working on a cash-based system, we’re able to offer 1-on-1, personalized physical therapy sessions without the limitations of insurance requirements, visit caps, or predetermined treatment codes. This model ensures that every session is focused entirely on your goals, your recovery, and your performance.

For clients seeking both rehabilitation and personal training, this approach allows seamless integration of injury recovery, strength training, mobility work, and long-term performance coaching—all delivered with the highest level of attention and clinical expertise. You receive longer, more effective sessions, faster progress, and care that prioritizes outcomes over insurance paperwork.

  • I choose to work for the patient—not the insurance companies. In my experience as a physical therapist and personal trainer, patients achieve better outcomes when their care isn’t restricted by insurance rules, visit limits, or pre-approved treatment codes. When insurance dictates the plan of care, it often limits session length, restricts treatment options, and creates unnecessary barriers to recovery.

By remaining out-of-network, I’m able to dedicate more time, attention, and expertise to each session. Instead of rushing through appointments or battling claims, I can focus entirely on what matters most: your progress, your goals, and your long-term health.

Unfortunately, much of today’s healthcare system prioritizes profit and paperwork over patient outcomes. My mission is to offer a better alternative—one that provides high-quality, personalized care without outside interference. This model empowers you to get the treatment you need, when you need it, delivered with the level of service you deserve.

  • A superbill is a detailed invoice outlining the services a client received. Therapists may need to generate a superbill when they are not on a client's insurance company's approved provider list. This allows clients to bill their insurance company directly. It includes information similar to an insurance claim form, such as the date of the service provided, procedure codes and a total balance due. By submitting your receipt, you may be able to recover a percentage of the cost you pay upfront (typically 60-80%) from your insurance company, depending on your "out of network" coverage

  • I work with athletes and active individuals of all ages and skill levels. My clinical and performance background includes treating youth athletes (as young as 7–8 years old), high school and collegiate athletes, professional competitors, working adults, and the active aging population. Whether you’re a gymnast, soccer player, runner, lifter, or simply someone who wants to move better and stay pain-free, I have the experience to help you reach your goals.

My passion is helping people return to the activities they love—or perform them at an even higher level. Whether you're recovering from an injury, addressing chronic pain, or training to enhance strength, mobility, or sports performance, I provide personalized, one-on-one care designed to help you move confidently and feel your best.

  • We start by discussing what brings you in, any limitations you currently have, your medical history, the activities/hobbies you enjoy and want to get back to, your goals, and more – to create a holistic picture. Then I perform a thorough physical movement assessment, testing your range of motion strength, stability, and finding areas of pain. You will receive some manual therapy treatment if needed as well as given some exercises for home to work on until the next visit.
